Intro to Online Blogging

This is not actually an intro to online blogging. Its me introducing myself to online blogging. Ive never been good at writing things down. I like to keep everything in my head all the time but as my life becomes more complex and strenuous perhaps a different kind of reflection could be helpful.

I will not apologize for the quality of my grammar or punctuation at this moment. for now i just want to let these thoughts flow onto the keyboard and perhaps one day i will return and make the proper corrections.

The beginning is as good a place to start as any i suppose.

I was born August 26 1988 somewhere in SunnyTime California (Mountain view i think) from Brian Smith (now Bostwick/Smith... ugh) and Denise Rossetti (now Vendly). By the time i turned 4ish my parents divorced shortly after my sister Taylor Smith had been born. My parents decided that the best way to handle the divorce was to have my sister and I switch houses every Monday. The fact that my Dad did not have a house for many of those years made for some pretty interesting childhood experiences. I believe that i had an odd, enjoyable and overall comfortable childhood but i don't really think any of it is worth talking about at this point so lets fast forward to when life starts feeling real.

I loved high School, especially my high school in particular; James Logan High. You can call it school pride if you want but i really believe that i am lucky to have wound up at such a diverse and fun place to spend my most awkward years of life. Those four years easily shaped a vast majority of who i am today. I had more fun there than i can possibly remember.  But if i were to attempt to summarize it i would do so in two words: Theater, and Friends.

One week after graduating from high school and one month after starting my first serious romantic relationship i felt a strong desire to leave home and family life behind. So i did. I moved out with my one of my best friends Ivan Torres who had been dorming at Cal State East Bay until this point. we first lived in a wonderful apartment complex called the Timbers just off of Jackson street in Hayward. i was working multiple jobs and going to Ohlone community college but quickly found the hardships of paying bills to be too overwhelming and dropped out of school in pursuit of additional work. The next three years were a whirlwind of parties, friendships, love and heartbreak but most of all... lots of work. Though again, there are too many wonderful moments here to possibly remember them all

Eventually enough room mates left that Ivan and I could not sustain living on our own. I decided to got back and live with my father in hopes that reducing my cost of living would help me get back on track and return to school. Ivan found new room mates and his adventure in the wilderness continues to this day.

I have been living with my father and step mother for a year now and am just finishing my first full time semester at Chabot community college. I am someone who vastly enjoys getting educated but is not a particularly good student. I am enjoying my time back at school and look forward to next semester. It took many years but now i finally have an idea of what i would enjoy doing for the rest of my life. I would like to write children's books. So now all i have to so is develop some skill in the craft and it should be a cakewalk from there on . Ha.

If you have made it this far i am quite flattered. I hope you found this interesting or enjoyable to some degree. I laid out the facts of my life in this blog but its just the bare skeleton. If you are interested in learning about the muscles and organs that go with the above paragraphs let me know which one you would like to read more of. I plan on adding additional entries that go more in depth as i become more comfortable with blogging.

Thank you for reading,
